Stella Luminosa was created in 2006, born from the creativity of Dina Cavicchia and the entrepreneurship of Cara Walker. With influences from coast to coast, SL embraces designs from of all types and cultures. Stella Luminosa is Italian for "bright star"-we are focused on creating bright and shining designs.

Dina Cavicchia is the creator and co-owner of Stella Luminosa. She currently works as the main designer and webmaster. Dina started making jewelry in 2003, and has branched out to sewing and painting projects as well. She is an 19 year old junior in college, majoring in Physics and Physics Education. Dina is based in Florida.

Cara Cavicchia Walker is the co-owner of Stella Luminosa. Cara organized and developed Stella Luminosa because of her love of fashion and jewelry. She works as the business manager, as well as designing jewelry. Cara is a 23 year old college student with a Bachelor's in Business Administration/Marketing, Master's in Business Administration (MBA), and a Graduate Certificate in Accounting. She is currently working on a Master's in Accounting and Financial Management. She started making jewelry in 2007, and has worked on sewing and knitting. Cara is based in California.
